Heddon Street rich heritage highlighted at the London Festival of Architecture
The London Festival of Architecture shined a spotlight on Regent Street for the first time; showcasing the rich architectural heritage of Heddon Street.
Barr Gazetas, the architecture firm hosting the event an based on Heddon Street, held an open studio evening on Thursday 15th June, inviting members of the public inside to discover more hidden secrets from recent projects. Small Back Room was lucky enough to be involved through its work with Regent Street on this exciting project.
The street event ran until Sunday 18th June, with shoppers and diners alike stopping by throughout the weekend to look at the many discovery points on the street, which included a recreated old cinema, an old cabaret club that now houses Heddon Street Kitchen, and the famous K-West sign, featured on the David Bowie album.
Best known as one of London’s best drinking and dining destinations, Heddon Street has a rich and interesting history, having played host to significant cultural happenings and unforgettable events.
