Success on the cards

When the APACS Card Payments Group was disbanded, Small Back Room was asked to create an identity for its successor. The new brand needed to swiftly earn the trust of financial regulators, media bodies and the government. It also needed to reflect a sensitive approach at a challenging time for the financial sector.

We began by running a series of workshops with the Card Payment Group, to develop a clear, shared understanding of exactly what the brand needed to do. With everyone agreed, we then developed naming options, a strapline and a simple but impactful visual identity for the new association, The UK Cards Association.
