From imagine to experience

Since its launch in 2010, the East Village website has continually been an integral element of our placemaking strategy, as one of the key channels to capture the imagination of prospective residents. With the first homes ready to go on the market in 2013, it was time for the website to evolve too.

We carried out extensive research and created detailed wireframes

 













 

The site had to incorporate a clear customer journey through to the two ‘product’ websites

The new site needed to fulfil distinct functions: it had to continue to articulate the unique experience of living in East Village – which by now was far clearer – but it also had to incorporate a clear customer journey through to the two ‘product’ websites, where the homes are available to rent or buy.














 

We added lots more in-depth content














 

We used CSS3 animation to enable full compatibility on iOS devices

The challenge was about user experience as much as overall design. We carried out extensive research into our target market – which resulted in decisions like building the site using CSS3 animation, to enable full compatibility on iOS devices.
